Iw as interested to know which would be better between the two in regards to the set categories below. Not really interested in having a big debate between which is better black or white type thing just the catergories listed. All help will be much appriciated. :D

    1. Gas waste i.e. when i fire the thing am i wasting a large amount of gas so by the time i get to my last few rounds they become waste?

    2. Efficience in Irish weather. Obviously the killer question to most GBBR but which one would be best for our fantastic seasonal weather?

    3. Upgrades and customising. Can the internals be easily upgraded or repaired as well as the externals?

    4. With all things considered above which would have better value for money in regards to the up front price of the GBBR as well as after market products such as mags and what have you?

Thanks in advance for your replies! ;)

    1. Very much the same between both platforms,

    2. Well the WE has Co2 mags available, and the WA hasnt yet, but their in the works,

    3. Both have aftermarket parts, but far more are available for the WA platform.

    4. Dunno how to answer that one really, for the money you spend on most WE (which isn't a whole lot considering) you can buy the individual WA style parts and build a rifle from scratch, the actual western arms rifle is pretty pricey and the AGM's are scarce at the moment.

Well I have a WE pdw, m4 and scar....
I would always run out of bb's before gas even in cold weather. In hot weather I find I would get maybe 50 shots off a full mag fill.

I cant say which is better as I only have the WE's, masada has both so he should be able answer that but as I said I never find any issue with the gas running out before the ammo. About a 15 - 20 shot diff between hot and cold weather I find.

Very much so, externally they are as upgradable as the AEG counterparts.
I dont tinker with the internals much myself though, just standard stripping and cleaning but from what I observe the internals of a WE gbb are infinitly less complex than an AEG. My scar breaks down to TWO major internal parts. If I HAD to mess about internally I'd much rather do it on a gbb. There does seem to be more after market parts for the WA's though.

I think the WE are better value considering they are ready to go from the box but then again I am biast.
