Hi i'm going to see Snoop Dogg concert in July in Marquee in Cork. The trouble is i haven't a clue what to wear. A guy i really like is going to be there so want to impress but don't want to look ridiculous either especially since it's standing so i'm likely to get shoved around a bit!

What do people (ie. girls) wear to rap concerts?!! Bearing in mind i don't want to look like a hoochie momma!! LOL!:D

    Thanks

Just wear whatever you feel comfortable in, but make sure your shoes are flat and cover your toes (boots would be best) because they will get stamped on.

Dem ho's be all up on you in dey heels at dem Snoop Dog concerts yo :D

Whatever you're comfy in!! And if it's in a marquee, I imagine sandals/cheap Penneys pumps are out because of soggy ground..runners/converse might be best

Runners yeah, but Converse get soaked in any kind of wet weather so maybe not them.

They wear what they would wear to any gig really. Jeans, nice enough top, and shoes that can withstand stamping

Jeans and a top? You don't have to dress a particular way for any type of concert. The marquee,I've been to a few concerts there wear flat shoes or trainers :) Believe me I did heels for Gaga and it was, well not fun :pac: and there's more jumping around at rap concerts.

I wouldn't wear anything except flat boots to a concert.
Too many times, I've had my feet trampled on with spiked stiletto heels.
Girls just don't care, especially when they are with their friends, have had a few drinks, and are hell-bent on stamping their way through the crowd so they can be nearer the front.

    (and yes, I am a girl! :) )

Thanks guys - I normally wouldn't be too picky but it's just because this guy is goin that I still want to look my best

Would something like ankle cowboy style boots, denim shorts and a sleeveless top be ok? In don't really like converse! I want to be summery also (I live in hope that the weather is goin to be nice!)

Inside the Marquee is just like being inside a building really. Proper floors and all so no soggy ground. :)

That would be perfect, depending on our climate.

    That wasn't even funny.

I never realised getting yer feet stamped on was a big issue at concerts. Learn something new everyday. :)

this might be a moot point BUT - the outift you've suggested (cowboy boots etc.) sounds great although I would try and wear a dark coloured top. I've been at too many gigs where the band come on, everyone starts ripping it up and tipping the cups.. of beer... all over my lovely white shirt.

Then I've come out looking a little silly. Bottom line is, he won't know what you're wearing in the crowd as everyone will be squished together. It's the before and after bit that I'd say count :)
