I am a foster parent of a 11 year old boy who attend councelling weekly We used to have a girl on the team but now she has been moved due to lack social workers. She had special training dealing with kids abused.Since then a new guy came on board who we find impossible to have a working relationship with and when one has an argry confused kid in their care it is important that they support us in helping him.Their attitude is what happens in the sessions are strictly confidential.I get this and we don't question the child who is in our care 2 years now .In the last week the child anger issues are simmering and has caused him a few issues at school and at home. His friends see a big change and are a little scared. He has started to isolate himself and look for attention in any way he can. They had said some of the new things they would be addressing in the sessions may bring his past flooding back and may make him angry but only yesterday he lifted a younger child by the neck off the ground in a wrestling move I might add he was really angry with this child at the time.If I tell them I find they make him more isolated and close him down more. They usually try to put him on medication or take him out of his activities with other kids instead of new bounderies. We seem to conflick with their ways a lot and the child can sence a friction.Only a month ago we had ah uge arguement about allowing him to go to sex ed in school like his classmates but he was forbidden. This was difficult for the child as his class has 4 and 6th class has 8 so he would stick out.We also had to fight before about medicating. I Hate their black and white theory.

We can't comment on individual cases here, saying that as some one used to work with under 18s [we now have a young persons programme, so I don't anymore] I have no problem discussing the conflicts about therapy between the therapist and child in general as oppossed to your individual case.

However, I'm not sure if the mods would be happy to proceed with that. However, have a look at your post, you don't really have a question in it. So before I go any further I'll wait and see if you can formualise your question and what the mods think of it.
