Cheers man :D I was like less than 2% average short of first class honours. Not bothered do, so long as I can do my masters, I don't care. :D:D

I kinda cramped study at the end, but I listened in class and took notes through the year. It was in multimedia. I liked the course, so most subjects came easy to me anyway. I think if you like what you do, it won't be hard.

I think if you just make sure that you're in class, and listen and take onboard everything - a 2:1 is definitely achievable. A bit of power study for a week before the exams and you'll be good. I studied with two of the lads for every exam, and we had a pretty good study technique - so we all got similar marks in our exams.

Pass with distinction and got accepted to a masters in Germany. Couldn't ask for more!

I hope everyone else was successful.

Doesnt say which one though?! Just says under the results box.
I failed 2, (under 35%, so not enough to compensate :o) ... but I did well enough in Semester 1, so does that mean they averaged out the results?
Do I have to repeat them then, or what??

I'm getting the exact same notification under the same circumstances. I guess I'll have to ring them tomorrow to see what the story is.

does anyone know if you can appeal online or do you have to be there in person.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 430 ✭✭Sparkles:)

Not sure but The appeal application form and €60 fee must be submitted by 1pm tomorrow (Thursday 10th June) otherwise the application will be held over to the next examination sitting.

anyone know how i have my results rechecked, passed em all but theres one that's not where i thought it'd be (and no not appealed, rechecked)

some of my friends had exemptions granted when they were compensating

you'll have to repeat them, to get your average

get your average for sem1 and then for sem 2 and then add them together.

your original mark is the one you use to get your average...

    70+% 1.1
    60%-69% 2.1
    50%-59% 2.2
    40%-49% Pass

If you have 3 fails you can't compensate any...

    Sparks xxxxx
