    I'm considering going to Krabi in Thailand for 1 week.

    I know its halfway around the world & the whole Bangkok thing going on now & the ash cloud!

    But I have totally fallen in love with a resort I've seen & Krabi just looks amazing!

    Its 17 hrs to get there, with 3 flights. Am I mad for one week???:confused:

    (btw I cant make the trip any longer. 1 weeks hols is all I have)

    I think you would be crazy. By the time you recover from the travel over... you will be ready to head back. Spent 9 weeks last year in Thailand. Loved it but seriously, you would need more time.

    For a week! Not worth it, save your enthusiasm for a longer trip. Three weeks min!

    My shortest trip there was 9 days. It was too short, but if its all you can do then I say go for it!

    Thinking of Dubai as a compromise,,, no comparison I'm sure but I need sun & luxury & no package holiday type place! Any opinions?
