In most cases, they will be in the local garda station, but in others they will be in the shool the night before (like any schools on Islands, incase the day of the exam you can't deliver the papers) but in such cases, if I am not mistaken, a Gardaí sits with themn or somthing like that.

Yup.. They can't run the risk of papers being leaked

There's a designated safe storage location in each locality- the superintendent collects the box of papers from the distribution centre and then brings it to the safe storage location, and collects the papers from it everyday...

Lol I wouldn't! I'm relying on the saturday and sunday!
And they've put Loads of pre-cautions to prevent that this year, I was listening on the radio - two examiners have to show each other the same paper and make sure it's the right one, the front cover tomorrow will just say 'English Paper 1, Higher Level' etc. They're really paranoid about it haha

    that's a pity...:P

AFAIK, they just made changes to the English one, it'd be funny if it was like Irish leaking this year or something!

t;s great the way they put loads oif precautions, but I can guarentee only about half of the Examiners wil abide by them. They will do it for this first exam, and then just carry on as normal

Paddy Power give 10:1 odds on a paper being leaked

i was an attendant for the exams last year ..
where i got to sit outside the hall and escort people to the bathroom ..
wile boring but the money was great!:D

    ANYWAY..
    getting to the point..
the morning of the exam i had to be in a half an hour early to help the supervisor set up and stuff..
and she came in anyway with this HUGE metal box..
where she had just collected it from the garda station in the town
and there was only one key to open that particular box..

so security is pretty tight .. if you know what i mean!:p

afaik they're sent to Athlone, where they're recorded and then sent out to correctors. When they've been corrected they're then sent back to Althlone and the grades recorded in the system.

But I'm not 100% certain so if someone else could confirm that.....
