I am going to be building my house in the next few months and want to live in a mobile till the house is built.

I called Wexford cc and they told me I would need to apply for planning permission so I could live in the mobile while the house was been built. Has anyone come across this problem? And how did they get around applying for planning permission. Like its stupid applying for it when im only going to be living in it for 4-5 months max.
