    :confused::confused::confused:

    Hey all,

    I have a question in relation to hotel bookings on ebooker.ie

    Is it unusual for someone to have to pay the total amount for the hotel when booking on this website? Is it safe?

    I'm just asking this because any other time I book a hotel they look for a deposit and not the full amount until the last day.

    Thanks!!

    :confused::confused::confused:

    yes it's normal. you pay the full amount on ebookers before you go. note you may also need a valid credit card to check in at the hotel for a security deposit too.

    i've used ebookers numerous times to book flights in numerous countrys without any problems.

    if you don't want to pay the full amount in advance then google the hotel name and find their phone number or website, generally they just take card details for security and don't charge you until you arrive/leave then.

    (you should wait more than an hour for people to reply, we're only getting out of bed :) )

    I just got back from France, and I made 3 seperate hotel reservations with Booking.com

    they take a credit card number to secure the booking but you pay the hotel on departure.

    they also have a 24 hr cancellation policy of no charge, if your plans change

    Can you not pay the security deposit on arrival with cash and then they give it back to you when checking out?

    i've been to a number of hotels who wouldn't let me do this. we offered 2000 cash as security but they weren't having any of it and they wanted the details for a credit card instead (the one we gave them had a 1000 limit as it happens). strange strange policys some places have.

    +1 to ebookers. Did most of my Vegas trip through them. Low prices and everything perfect.
