There isn't. It would take an awful lot of work to make a reliable one and the cell shrinkage problem with 3g mobile makes it very difficult to assume coverage seeing as people move around.

    Internet or Broadband?

DSL, dialup, ISDN (128k), Cable, Fibre, ordinary Fixed Wireless, Metro Wireless, 02-3-Vodfone-Meteor Mobile (50k to 5Mbps), Digiweb Mobile, Satellite and Imagine or Clearwire Nomadic.

There separate maps for some of these. Satellite is near 100% :) Mobile coverage varies with building/window type and orientation and number of users. Speed on mobile varies dramically with number of users and distance from mast. Speed on DSL varies 20Mbps down to 0.5Mbps depending on distance from exchange and line quality and number of other users (crosstalk) in a multpair cable.

The Dept NBS maps are useless for the reasons below and political reasons.

The FWA maps (Comreg fixed Wireless) are useless, they only show location of a licence. They do not show if mast exists or what its coverage is.

The exact location of DSL enabled exchanges and routes of phone cables is important information to be hidden from North Koreans and UPC, or something. Though there has been some 3rd part work on it. Eircom know which lines are likely to give at least 1Mbps DSL. (other DSL sellers use a "public" version of this information).

The exact locations of all broadband enabled cable is likely known by UPC.

Digiweb do have real coverage maps for all their wireless systems and Metro and have considered publishing, but it's probably a valuable trade secret.

Magnet and Digiweb know where they have fibre.

Satellite, Fibre, Metro Wireless and Cable are unique in that if you can get a connection, the speed does NOT depend on your distance from satellite/head-end/mast/cabinet.

The Mobile operators do have coverage maps, but some are grossly optimistic. Oddly you do sometimes have decent coverage where they claim there is none. It's not broadband and as users added in your area, coverage shrinks!

So, there is no simple answer to Broadband or other Internet coverage. Contact each supplier!
