    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows where i could get a cheap automatic gearbox for a Fiat Punto 99, 60 Selecta?

Got a quote direct from Fiat and they said it'd be at least €1000 - €1500

So i suppose what i'm hoping is that someone might know of cheaper options?

    Thanks

Try www.traynors.co.uk They are based in the North and deliver in the republic 3 times a week. There is a used parts website (google it) in Ireland too. put in the part you want and if there's one in a breakers yard it'll find it. Highly unlikely though. Punto Selecta would not have been a common model.

I'd say the UK is your best bet as automatic Puntos are very rare over here.

To be honest even if you get your hands on a reconditioned auto box and get it fitted your probably talking about €500 or possibly more, is it economical to spend that sort of money on an 11 year old Punto?

In the 13 months I worked in a Fiat garage, I only ever seen one automatic Punto.

Would the 'box in a Uno be the same?
