$35.6M opening weekend in the US and it knocked Inception off the No. 1 spot looks like Ferrell and McKay still a winning team

    MORE WILL FERRELL SHOUTING

Looks terrible. But hardly surprising considering it's coming from McKay.

Saw this the other night in the US.
Its a bit of a mixed bag ,funny at times but disappointing overall.
I'm a fan of Ferrell and he plays his part well and the humour is similar to that of Anchorman.
There are some crazy scenes but too many failed jokes and offbeat scenes most of which involve the plank of wood that is Mark Wahlberg.
The guy just plays a constantly angry little man (he is a midget compared to Ferrell) and is completely one dimensional.Comedy certainly isnt his forte.
Its one of Ferrell's weaker films as the plot overwhelms the comedy, and the jokes become repetitive and stale.
    5/10

I heard that Sam Jackson & The Rock steal the scenes that they are in. Possible spin-off somewhere down the line?

Ive seen it also, the best bits are at the start with samuel l jackson and the rock. Mark wahlberg is very poor in it. Very dissapointing

They do, and a spin-off would be awesome. I've got some great ideas for it :p

Saw the movie last night, was not expecting much, just wanted a stupid comedy. There were some fantastic laugh out loud moments for me. Good but not a great movie.

I thought it was pretty good. Defo enough laughs to warrant the price of a ticket. Sam L has some of the funniest lines at the begining of the movie :)

I have to be honest when i watched that trailer originally i was more interested in a movie with Sam and the Rick (sorry..."Dwane") than I was markey mark and will ferell!

god i hope they do a spin off!

Yeah ,it would have been better if they had more of a role in the film .
That shootout scene at the start was priceless.
The Rock is also Oscar acting material compared to Wahlberg .

Its only slightly above the comedy standard ferrel has held lately.
Not a patch on anchorman, old school, step brothers (hey, its still one of his best) and on par with blades of glory.
I'd heard it was a return to form, but sadly, no.
