    Hi all,

    I work purely on the web with clients and contractors based all over the world. I live in Ireland because my friends/family are here however the flexibility of my work means I can work anywhere which is why I'm looking at working at least part of the year in Spain and I was wondering if;

    anyone has done it/ is doing it?

    is there office centers one can rent out a hotdesk for a couple of weeks months?
    with the downturn in the property market in spain are short term property rentals possible?

    I'm in no rush here but wanted to kick it out there to see if anyone has any feedback.

    Thanks, dl

    Hi dublogic,

    Sounds like a good set up you have. It immediately strikes me you should look at you tax residency. Investigate further, but if you are resident in country for less then 186 days you have options regarding paying tax, i know they changed these recently to close loop holes but it would be worth looking into. Best to talk to an expert before making anything permanent.

    Can't see an issue regarding hot-desking or property rentals.

    Theres a guy on here Forbairt that moved to Spain full time. He does web design/development and used to be based in Dublin. He might be able to give you some advice on the situation over there. Maybe send him a pm and ask would he mind answering a few questions.
