Leaving money at the atm

    Hi, sorry mods Im not sure where else to put this, so I figured here would be the best place.
    Just wondering does anyone have advice for me, I left money at an AIB atm, the machine is fairly isolated and there was no one behind me in the que, which leaves me thinking it got sucked back in (hopefully).
    Has this happened anyone and do you know what to do about it?
    Call into the bank on Tuesday? Or is there a number I can ring or anything?
    Any help will be great thanks

    If there was no one behind you the money will have been sucked back in. The bad news is that it can take a few days to be rectified. There will be cctv to back up what happened and the atm won't balance and then eventually you'll get the cash back.

    Unless there was someone that came along after you and grabbed it, then I think it could be your loss.

    Happened to a friend of mine apparently the money was put back into his account after it got sucked back in.

    Happened a guy who was using a machine as I walked up to it. He left and got in car and drove off, as I approached, the cash got sucked back in. So it happens quickly. Contact your bank tomorrow.
