    Estonia in general is a country I really enjoyed being in, I found the people quite a bit friendlier than in Latvia.

    Saaremaa, one of the Estonian Islands, is great for a few days. Get a coach (I think the company is called SEBE AS Bus, just over three hours, cost of the ticket was around 170 kroons - about 11 euro) to Kuressaare from Parnu [a nice enough town to wander around also, but you definitely wouldn't spend more than one night there] and you get to enjoy a 30-minute boat trip across the Baltic Sea. I was there in February with the sea frozen over, which was interesting, but it'd be a very nice journey in the summer.

    I stayed in Kuressaare,* which I think is the capital of the region, you can visit the castle (which has a museum you'll spend at least 2 hours in, although not much in there is explained in English) and the Kalev chocolate shop. Wander around the town and go to the Kaali meteorite crater about 12-15 miles outside Kuressaare. I'm sure there are other things too but unfortunately I was only there for a day and a half!

    The best way to get out of Kuressaare I found was an Estonian Air** flight to Tallinn. The airport is tiny, and so are the planes - 33-seater, I think. Tallinn itself is also well worth a few days, a medieval town, it's got some lovely old buildings, as some interesting museums. The Olde Hansa restaurant is worth going to if you have a bigger budget than I did! They (claim to) do authentic medieval feasts - you can even get bear meat there, if you're so inclined :P

    Also pop into a few of the 'Antik' shops you see around the place, they're great for picking up interesting souvenirs (i.e. not the bog standard clock or mug with 'Tallinn' or 'Estonia' written on it). I didn't buy anything from them, a fact for which I am quite sorry now.

    * I stayed at this place - http://www.piibelehe.ee/
    Run by a lovely couple, I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The garden house was one of the nicest places I've stayed anywhere, I can't remember the price but I'm a student and I didn't break the bank with it!

    **I found Estonian Air a nightmare to book from, their website for whatever reason wouldn't accept my card, or my girlfriend's, and they were utterly unhelpful with it. I eventually had to pay a travel agent in Parnu a fee to book it for me.
