Turned on my PS3(60gb version) today and have a solid red / flashing green light.

When I power up it goes green for a second then solid red / flashing green and nothing shows up on the screen.

Tried some of the tips online like removing the hard drive for 10 minutes and restarting but didn't work.

Can't get into the menu to do a factory reset either.(by holding power for 10sec etc)

    Is it bricked?

Sounds like it. Bring it to a repair center, see if they can fix it for you.

Also, you shouldn't have removed the HDD as after putting it back in, it needs to be formatted. You may have lost your game saves.

I rang Bray with the exact same symptoms a few months ago and was advised that while it could be fixed it might last anything from a day to months - basically I would be wasting my money...

Maybe time to go for a slim instead.
