The price just fluctuates depending on what is on offer.

Finding it very hit and miss with the super six in Aldi. I've decided now that I'm going back to other supermarkets for fruit.

Pineapple I got there couple of weeks ago was rotten when I opened it up at home and last week 5 out of the 6 in the pack of red apples had what seemed like nail dug in to them, holes in them and one even kind of cracked/split in half. The one that was 'good' was soft as hell to eat and seriously not nice.

No point saving money here. I'd rather spend 2 euro on fresh and tasty fruit than this.

Like all supermarkets, sometimes the fruit&veg can be dodgy and sometimes it can be great. And especially when they are on offer, they can be trying to offload dodgy produce. Just inspect what you are buying first. Surely you would have noticed holes in the apples if you looked closer. Fair enough if the pineapple was rotten in the inside but I've had very few bad experiences with the Aldi super six and I get it almost every week. Just pick and choose the good stuff.

Well no the apples looked good on the outside under the clingfilm cover and felt firm on the outside, but even the one good apple was squishy to eat and I couldn't have known that. Also, the holes like I said were like a nail had dug in, the skin was still on it, not skinned off, so it would have been impossible to see this. They also have their label on the wrapping too. You can't spot everything! :)

Anyway yeah, it's definitely worth inspecting very very closely!!! But you are right in that some of the fruit will be good so maybe I'll be more careful and give them one more chance. But it's their last one!!
