    hey lads,

i was driving home there and my clutch made a bang, the pedal dropped about halfway down, it was really hard to get it into gear and by the time i got home it wont go into first at all:(,
when i put it into reverse it makes a horrible crunch aswell,

it has been making a noise that stopped when i pushed the pedal down and that noise is now gone,

i am thinking clutch release bearing that is apparently common on saxos,

any ideas?? any idea on cost to fix??,

    cheers!

yeah with the engine off i can get it into first, so i can just about move it, its hard getting it into gears on the move though,

does it go into all gears easy with the engine off, want to rule out the gearbox

Release bearing either collapsed or gone through the pressure plate.

Either way its a gearbox out and new three piece clutch kit between €300 and €350 to replace.

yeah i just checked it there it will go into all gears with engine off, reverse is a bit tricky though, but it was usually difficult to get it into reverse
