Favourite GAA jerseys

GAA isn't exactly a sport know for it's adventurous jerseys.

You certainly won't find anything like what the Cameroonians wore at the 2004 African Cup of Nations.

Having said that, there have been plenty of quality jerseys over the years.

Of the current offerings, what are your favourites?

Also, what do you make of your county's jersey?

It must be hosted online, then click the insertimage.gif icon and paste the URL of the image (right click and copy image url)

Or upload as an attachment if on your local machine by clicking attach.gif, however it won't display the pic only a link to it hosted on boards.ie

I beg to differ. For example, the current Tipperary shirt is very different to what we traditionally have. And the yellow band doesn't continue round the back of the shirt.
GAA shirts returning to a more conventional 70's/80's style which i like. Cant wait to see next years Tipp effort

EDIT: My favourite ones at the moment are Dublin, Fermanagh, Tyrone, Antrim. Wexford very nice too. Pity it will only get one more outing ;) :pac::pac:

    EDIT: Oh and Downs shirts...gorgeous

I think the colours of thesponsorship ruins what would otherwise be a nice geansai.

The funniest thing is that thread is going to be pretty biased. Most of the O' Neills are nice except the Kilkenny jersey which is awful from year to year. The Azzuri jersey's are not nice imo.

Biased I know but I really love this one

Obviously! Jerseys just don't get any better that ours. Pity we never have a good team to wear them with pride and win a game or 2!!!

For this reason i wont say Dublin, i know it is such a small detail but the red voda logo really grates on me it is just not right having red on a Dubs jersey, although someone will come along and say it is not the jersey but the man in it of course

I have to say the nicest jersey i have seen was one i saw on paddy's day in bundoran, it was a 1916 commemorative jersey it looked to be o'neills but when i looked for it online it was nowhere to be found

Yes very nice and they have a newer version of that Jersey that is even nicer. Wore it against Meath last year, I cant find it anywhere though and I go to college in Limerick. Generally some of the teams away jerseys are lovely. The likes of Galway's, Cork's, Kildare's and Mayo's.

The most distinctive jersey has to be the Carlow one and I have seen lots of kids and some adults wearing them around Dublin recently.

I've played hurling for 4 clubs in 3 counties and 3 provinces under 2 names, only won anything with my home club. Won under 12 and under 14 football county medals in the same year (in the same county) under the same name for 2 different clubs.

Besides the 2003 Clare Jersey, I like the international jersey.

I think the NYPD jersey is nice. Think i'll buy it instead of the new Dublin jersey because of that horrible Vodafone logo on the front.
