I see there is no thread for Blur in the PS3 forum. Lets discuss Blur, rather than is Blur better than Split / Second or ModNation.

I started playing Blur earlier today and want to get straight back to playing it. It has been a while since a game has had that effect on me. I started playing the single player and like the fact there is so much to unlock/achieve. Then I switched to the online multiplayer and had a blast. I got beaten in each race but it was really fun.

The split screen multiplayer is great, especially the fact that they cater for four players. I like that the power-ups are so familiar, as most of them have some Mario Kart equivalents.

Is there a way to play with two people online from the same console?

Yes you can play with 2 people online as long as they're in your friends list.
First option is to setup a private game and then press select, scroll down to friend and square to invite.
You can get up to 20 ppl into a private game

The other option is to go public games, and then invite or join - same thing again, press select to bring up a list of friends, scroll down and then you can join or invite.

Getting a bit annoyed now with this game. I've played three sessions online and in two of the three it has caused the PS3 to freeze.

It's a known issue.

Hopefully this will sort out the online problems because Blur could become on of my favourite online games ever. As it is I have to concentrate on the single player mode as it crashes far too often.

Patch is already out apparently
(at least it is in Australia - fingers crossed we have it too)

i played one race in this game and found it rubbish it went straight back to extravision within a half hour

Love this game, I thought it was a problem with my PS3 with it freezing though.

Patch last night really made a difference. First night where I got 2hrs of straight racing. Had a ball.

I have to agree there. I really like the multiplayer too. I almost never win. In fact, I pretty much try not to end up last and to grudge against those that I pick to grudge against :-)

I wish more people would play it though so that we can get a second version etc.

Great amount of tracks! Is it 33? Enough cars to last forever. I like the unlocks and how cars become popular the more you use them and even get extra strength and power. (maybe a bit unfair as people without jobs will have better cars than me. I'm talking to you all teenagers!)

Oh, I wish there would be more laps, and upgrades randomly distributed.
