How long before defrosted tuna steaks go off?

Last night I took out a packet of tuna steaks (from the freezer to the fridge). Would it be ok to let them sit in the fridge for another day, or should they be eaten today?

    I bought them in Aldi.

    edit: I ate then. *Burrrp*

Standard advice is to eat food within 24 hours of defrosting.

They would not "go off after 2 days", but would not be as nice and
the risk of food poisoning would be higher.
