I'm looking for some suggestions. I'm involved in running Singles Adventure Weekends in Kerry. Each weekend is always fully booked with women, but it's always quite hard to find single men to sign up for the weekend... Does anyone have any ideas for how to find single men!?
    Thanks

I gave this a lot of though, and came up with the following advertising slogan...
I'm involved in running Singles Adventure Weekends in Kerry. Each weekend is always fully booked with women, but it's always quite hard to find single men to sign up for the weekend...

It just might work, though I can't be sure. :D

Have you thought of putting up notices in any of the outdoorsy and sports shops around? If you're running a company, then I'm sure you've already thought of this and advertising further afield. Hmm.

I've an idea, Facebook would be a good place to advertise this. I've just had a look and created an ad that targeted men who are 18+ in Ireland, single, interested in members of the opposite sex and into hillwalking and adventure sports. (I'd highlight the fact that they'll be outnumbered by single women in the advert text)

    Based on this Facebook suggested:
    Facebook wrote:
Based on your targeting options, Facebook suggests a bid of €0.26 per click. You may pay up to this much per click, but it is likely that you will pay less.

Dunno if you want to bid 26 cent but you can set a daily budget so you won't go over. You'll find the ads page here: http://www.facebook.com/advertising/

    Hope this helps.

We offer Bushcraft courses here in Kerry that are mostly men. What activities are you offering that mainly draw the women?

Thanks Evil Phil. I'm going to get onto that this morning and hopefully that will work...

IPNA I've actually got one of your flyers on my desk so I'll give you a buzz today for a chat.

Nathen make it attractive to them, Tho men genrally dont like going out there, on their own. I don't think its to do with what your intraducing them to, more so men in genral we dont like being on our own.

Groups of single women who know each other?
Or groups, of loads of single women who dont know each other?

Ps we did the kinsale course togeather, you were a year ahead tho

Have you advertised through dating sites, appearently they get way more men than women?

On a slightly different note if anyone here is interested, I looked at the weekends a while, back they look pretty decent, keep meaning to head along on one. They also got a great write up in the Irish Times.

With the girls they're generally in ones or twos, as opposed to big groups of girls who already know each other. Think I'll try some free beer advertising!

Well I would just like to give you a male perspective.
No self-respecting man, is going to subject himself to spending a weekend with a group of these out-doorsy type women.
I did once, and I had to listen to their sad man hating femminist diatribe, for an entire weekend.:(
The simple fact is, these women are single for a reason:D

Bit harsh surferdude, considering they are "out-doorsy type" weekends would it not be fair to expect to meet these "out-doorsy type wome".

The write-up I read in teh Irish Times of one of these weekends gave nothign but praise.

Jesus Snow-monkey, whether or not they are hot they'd be indoorsey types, a completely different breed.

Post details on these forums! Plenty of lads on the hunt for wimminz, not all the out-doorsy types are oldies / lesbians!! Majority tend to be fit and gamey in my experience!

You'd have to wonder how many men that single word would draw?
