    Hi,

I done the MBS last year, not the E&F stream but from talking to some of the E&F lads I'd give the following information. I wouldn't say it's a lot harder but it is definitely more intensive. You will have assignments each week from the end of September right up to (and including) xmas holidays. You'll get a week or two breathing space at the start of Jan (Do your Lit Review in these weeks!!) and then it's an assigment/presentation or two per week until study week (including 2 on study week this year for us)

Most E&F's from last year are still doing their thesis now so I can't answer the what have you become question. What I would say though is you will learn more in this one year than you have over the previous 4. It's very worthwhile in my opinion. When you do a masters, you'll quickly realise that you probably weren't ready for a job at the end of 4th year - by that I mean that you didn't have enough knowledge to be an asset to a company. With the masters, you certainly have the knowledge to be a valuable asset to any company.

You'll be asked to "buy into it" early on and to be honest it's advice you should really follow. Be prepared for late nights in the library from early in the year. Unless your able to work with a hangover, be prepared to cut down significantly on your social life at home on weekends.

Lastly, if I was you, I'd do it - I think it's worthwhile anyway.

Someone else might be able to give you more info.

I don't think it should really have economics in the title. Far more of a finance programme.
