    question for any tilers on hear
    can tiles be layed on floors with lino on them in any situation?

    No, i wouldnt.

    Lino isnt stuck fully to the floors, only in spots. I can see where yoiu could do it but i dont see any reason why not tto remove the line before you file on it

    well i tried to take it up
    its in corporaation flat in dublin
    the lino is welded to the floor
    couldn get it up ,so i tiled over it
    i just want to see is this what a tiler would do as im no tiler
    the area was 3 sq yards

    Nope it cant. What a tiler would do is remove as much of it as possible and by this i mean a serious amount then pour leveling compound on it.

    Then the tiler would tile on top of that.

    Alter and what i would have done is lay down a sheet of marine ply and nail it to the floor if concrete or screw if wood and then tile on that with flex adhesive.

    If its wood floor under the screws need to be laid every couple of inches.
