Myself and the missus have just bought a house that doesn't have any parking and we both need parking permits. A friend has told us that the Cork City Council do not issue multiple permits to the same address. Has anyone any experience of applying for multiple parking permits in Cork city?

My friend moved out for the college year and there was two of them in the house with cars and there was no way the city council would issue them two permits. Still just ring up their offices and see if anything can be arranged

I suppose so. I would hope (with all due respects to your friends) that two owner-occupiers would have a better chance than tenants.

My b/f and his mother both have permits for their cars. Dont see why it would be an issue. Although they did go in on seperate occassions to get them, and I do recall that himself had to get his mother to sign off on a few things because the bills all come in her name even though both names are on the lease etc.

So to answer your question, it can be done, even when the council swear blind that your apartment building doesnt exist since they couldnt have been bother to update their maps of the district......

When they were suggesting putting Disc Parking in my area, IIRC they said you could get up to 4 per address. Thankfully I got it stopped, so we don't have disc parking.
