07 Fiat Punto

    See these for aroung 5k, seems cheap for a three year old car.

    Are they a load of crap or what? I thought Fiat had really picked up their game lately.

    Cheers for any advice.

    They're ok. The 1.2 petrol is the old 8v unit carried over from the earlier Punto. I've heard no reports of head gaskets popping or other issues with them, although the Grande Punto is heavier than the older car and with that engine, it's not exactly a rocket ship.

    Great cars, just cheap since a newer model has come along (Punto EVO), plus the market is flooded with them. Never had any major issues with them (had lots of Fiats in where I used to work). Loved amongst auld ones and boy racers so keep an eye out for abuse.

    1.2 engine wouldn't pull you out of bed TBH, 1.4 T-jet engine is quite lively. 1.3 Multijet diesel is frugal and lively.
