    Hi All,

I already have a car insured with a classic policy, and I've been tempted by a very clean '90 pajero commercial with 12 months DOE.

Is it possible to add something like this to a classic policy? I said I'd ask here to see if anyone has done this. My policy is with Carole Nash, btw.

    Thanks

well I would say it is possible but they won't take into account any no claim bonus I think.
Obviously it is depending on carol nash if they do or not use the bonus on classic vehicule, and if they consider 90 has been a classic.

I am with irish vintage society and they don't take into account the bonus, but I think the vehicule as to be 25 years old but I am not sure.

    Cheers

My best advice is the obvious one - you ring Carole Nash and ask them :)

From my own experience, First Ireland have been more than facilitating to classic car owners over the last few years (obviously to gain market share). Try them too. And it won't hurt to try all the others as well

Let us know how you're getting on. Feedback on to the forum can be very helpful to all of us out here reading this :)

    Not Your Ornery Onager

Would the fact that it's commercial be a fly in the ointment?

Well the best is probably to ask to them.
But I will say with insurance, you better to seriously shop arround!!!

I would say try Irish vintage society, I think they do commercial vehicule vintage.

FBD have a product which I believe they even refer to as 'Old Jeep Insurance'. You should give them a shout and find out if they can cover you on it, and what the prices are like.
