Missing channels on Freesat box

Recently bought a Sagem DS186HD freesat box and I've noticed that some channels are missing which I would have picked up on my old FTA box, these include some, but not all of the CBS channels and some, but not all of the children's e.g. "Pop" channels. They are actually included in the EPG but don't tune in. When I go to the signal info it shows 0% signal and quality.
Anyone any ideas why this would be? BBC and ITV for instance give over 90% signal and quality and the FTA box gives readings in the sixties for the missing channels.

do a factory reset of the freesat box.

If that doesn't work, it may be a problem with the sensitivity of the inbuilt tuner.

I have the exact same problem, I posted here a while back. I have the Grundig Freesat box and most of the channels are working except the Channel 4 family channels (E4, Film4 etc.). Its been like that for months and so I just went back to my SL65 where every channel works, signal over 85%.

I decided to give the Grundig another go today, I left the box on Channel 4 (w/ no signal message) and aligned the dish until I got a picture, which I did, however if I switched over to another channel and then back to Channel 4 I received the 'no signal' message. I can only assume its a problem with the box because it kept happening everytime I tried it, and if I plug the cable into the SL65 right beside it every channel works. I'm really disappointed because I love the 7 day epg and the on screen menus, just don't know what to do now really!

Are those channels on the transponder that's affected by dect phones? If you have a dect phone, try unplugging it and moving it further away from the receiver. Just an idea, but worth a try.

Thanks mate but I've tried all that and no joy, I even unplugged the modem just in case that was causing the trouble!

I tried the factory reset but no joy. I tried to add them as non freesat channels but it wouldn't let me. I unplugged 'phones, modems etc. I even sent Mrs bmaxi out in case she was affecting it, nothing works. The most annoying part is that I have a Sky box in the bedroom working off the same LNB and the channels are perfect on that so I'd be pretty sure it's not an alignment problem. I also have an FTA box in the kitchen working off a Lidl 60cm dish and it too is perfect so it's down to either the box or Freesat I'd say. Anyone any more suggestions?

it could be a weak tuner in the box.
Perhaps a realignment of the dish might pull in a better signal, or even a different lnb

(i have a quatro lnb, and it's very poor with vertical low signals.. I must get around to changing it before winter)
