    hi all,

is this where one introduces themselves? anyway i have been a birdwatcher and nature fan for a few years now, about 20. familiar with the birds in my local area. i live near youghal in east cork and i wonder are there any others on here from cork or waterford who like to birdwatch regularly. seems hard enough to find people. used to be events on but i don't think anymore (?) anyway nice to meet you all. i enjoy particulary birds of prey - more into birds of mountains and forests rather than the coast.

    Welcome :)

I wonder if you lived inland would you be into coastal birds more?

mothman, hi there, yes i think you are right about that. i grew up with herring gulls screamin in my ear so maybe i had enough of that ;) well the main thing is i find staring at mudflats to be a little boring. so i am not big into waders or the like. i like places where birds are hard to see, where they hide and if you are patient they pop out.

thanks for the links, judge :)
