If he actually does take a couple of years off, there will be no denying his blatant ducking of Pacquiao. I would suspect even PBF fans would have to admit that. If he takes this time off, his reputation will be severely tarnished (and rightly so).

He's running scared, he knows he might be losing that big fat 0 if he steps in the Ring with Manny. It's a shame he doesn't have the balls of a true great, which he would go down as even if he did lose to Manny. In my book, and in alot of others, he won't go down in history as one of the greatest ever if he continues to duck Pacman.

    Running scared.

it'd be interesting to see his style if he was fightin with 1 loss. reckon he'd be an altogether different fighter, a lot more attacking, and there'd be none of that fight ducking bull****. that big fat 0 is too much of an obsession for him. so pacquiao wins number 1, then mayweather nails him in a rematch!

I was expecting a lot of its happening / its not happening before the fight is made but pulling the retirement card again? unless its to get the floyd foundation in the public eye since there was no press conference?

If Mayweather goes ahead with this two year break, it will prove the critics right. He never wanted to fight Pacquiao. He can blabber on about being undefeated, about how there is no blueprint to beat him and how he is "better than Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson" but this proves when push comes to shove he never takes the biggest challenge available. He had the chance to be part of one of the biggest fights of all time, and potentially to prove himself as the best pound for pound fighter of his generation. However his legacy will forever be tarnished after this most blatant DUCK. I've lost so much respect for him. Taking time away from boxing to avoid the biggest threat to your undefeated record represents all that is wrong with boxing.

Fuck this, I'm following MMA instead.
