JCB 3C MARK II refit the back actor, help needed

    I have a JCB 3C MARK II model digger, which I need to refit the back actor, has anybody any ideas what the best way to go about it?

    No idea of the real way to do it, but I used to prop our backactor up on a block of timber, about 5" higher than its pin holes should be, using the front bucket. Then I used to reverse up to it and once lined up, I used the jacks and the slew to get the holes lined up, fired in the bottom pin and connected the pipes, extended the ram and lined it up with a stout lump of timber, fired in that pin, and always swore never to take the bloo#y thing off ever again.
