    Half one on a friday night!

    should we not be in town dancing the night away instead of being at home on our laptops?

    (getting drunk, scoffing a kebab then risking our lives getting home on the Fightlink bus etc...)

    I realise that this is a tongue and cheek topic, but I must reply in earnest. Why do people attribute such importance to the rituals associated with this "life" the question refers to? They are pointless activities, scarcely enjoyable, and about as vile and repugnant as anything I have had the displeasure of coming across. That is why I am not out in a nightclub right now, it is boring, disgusting and I cannot stand another moment among the twitching throng, listening to music I don't like, being in physical contact with drunken sweating idiots of either gender, I swear it is the biggest con job since religion, and I shall not put another cent of my money on the counter of one of those places ever again.

    Feels great tucked up in bed on boards on a Friday night if I'm being honest. Summer is my recovery from first year of college. Off the alcoholic stuff a week now and intend to keep it that way until at least August. In good shape, no hangovers, diet is improving and no drunken debacles or nightclubs or crap music. Friend, this is the life!

    I actually love going to nightclubs and the usual friday night debacle (which can involve anything from a bbq in mine to a movie night with beers to the much-hated on here habit of lots of drinkies and a good aul dance in a club all night). Wouldnt say it means I have a ''life'' - half my mates, including the OH, would be just as happy to sit in and play playstation / go online etc but its bore the hell outta me!! Mainly cuz I associate boards / youtube etc with work (yes, i have nothing better to do, its brilliant!)

    Would much rather people who go out on a Friday night to stay the fook home if theyre gonna spend half the nigt on their mobile giving facebook updates tbh
