    Came across this :
Never thought of it before, but Cash Convertors sell a lot of console games - was in there today and they had everything from Snes to 360 games, the more modern ones being far better priced then Gamestop/Game. Modern Warfare 2 24.99, for example. Got World at War for 14.99. :)

I've been in both the Dublin shops and I've never seen anything. The Parnell St one has a few Xbox games and the obligitory PS2 ones but nothing beyond that. Thomas St one was even worse if I remember with hardly any games certainly no retros.

Any of ye come across anything in these shops?

I was looking for MD games there. They don't seem to have anything older than x-box 1 or playstation 2. Not even ps1

The Thomas street one is where I got most of my n64 collection. An arse load of games for €3 each. They were mispriced but gave them to me anyway.

Although that must be about 3-4 years ago now. They used to have Snes, MD and Gameboy stuff then too. Was always horribly over priced though.

Nothing like n64 there the other day. I wish they had n64 for 3 quid now.

Up North, theres one on almost every corner. Stocked to the brim with retro gear, most stores are 2 stories with 1 story generally being gaming.

Most games are £2-3 pound, i bought a rake of Gamegear games last time i was up there and some other bits & pieces. Came to nothing.

They stock EVERYTHING tho.. NES, SNES, MD, GB, GG, Saturn, DC.. EVERYTHING.. Games, Consoles, Accesories.. You would'nt believe it.
Really? must take a trip to belfast soon. only an hour or so from dublin.

Yep, not too long ago I saw some Atari 2600 games in the one in Belfast city centre.

I'm sure it wouldn't be too expensive to take a train up to belfast for a day and do some shopping :D

Plane to London would be better I think. Ye could/should organise a trip though with the poxy baggage rules it might be futile since CrimeAir would try and charge you for carrying on two plastic bags.

A bus to belfast is your cheapest option. The train cost would negate any savings you might make. Train is not that cheap, bus about 10 to 12 euro return

Dagnammit. Now I've gone and added a trip down to the central Belfast Cash Convertors when I go to Belfast in August. They better not have anything retro for sale, or I'm coming back here. Butch Cassidy, sugarman, atavan-halen, you're on my list.
