    Hi,

Currently I have a 2000 Yaris and have found it to be a great car over the years. Now looking to come up a few years and wanting to buy a 2006 Yaris, just looking to get views and experiences from other owners of the same.

    Thanks
    :)

Not too many Yaris owners here, I'd wager.
What other cars have you owned?
    Describe your useage.

I thought I read here that some people prefer the older model?

Had a Mazda 121 / Fiesta before the Yaris and that was nothing but problems. The Yaris I have now has been a joy to own, reliable, handles well and very good on petrol and for them reasons that's why I'm going for another. I do around 16k a year.

The older model / one I currently have has a bit more power in them but that doesn't bother me.

Get a diesel 1.4D much better than that 3 cylinder petrol in the newer irish ones. You'd have to go north or uk though. 60 + mpg plus mkuch quicker than petrol.

16k of city driving a year?

There's more to your useage than your total mileage.

If its going that well, why change it?. Until it starts giving problems, I'd hold on to it if you like it that much. Its practically free motoring.

I hear what your saying, a few people have said the same to me including a mechanic yesterday, he told me that my car is alot better than an 06, is better on petrol and will cost less to maintain. I have decided to keep it, no point getting rid of something if it's working, thanks again guys :)
