Bet they could direct you to a Broadband forum though.. something you seem to be incapable of finding!

In all seriousness, make sure this guy ain't messing with your modem.

Tell them that the lack of service is a violation of your contract with them the provider and insist to speak to a supervisor. The drones in any it customer service can't/are not allowed, do anything remotely helpful other than tell you to turn the <insert device> off for 60 seconds and turn it back on.

You could always go on the Vodafone forum or bang your head against a brick wall, which is probably the same thing..

I find throwing the modem against the wall helps.

That's fine if you have a connection and the modem works but then you may not get a reply from it as it may be dead or brain dead.

Good point but no body in a broadband forum would find this funny and would then try and explain to me that the fault was on my line.

Vodafone broadband is exactly what BT broadband was...a re-badged Eircom broadband.

I had problems a few months ago and I found Vodafone very nice, very helpful but ultimately totally helpless, especially at weekends because eircom don't do weekends.

Vodafone took over BT's Broadband and set it to self-destruct. It's unfortunate that they don't know what they're doing and treat their customers like cretins. It's like giving a monkey a hand-grenade to play with.:(
