This man wearing black gloves...

Walking through town yesterday I was accosted by a man wearing black gloves and brown overcoat. He was ranting and raving about religion and how the country was becoming more morally corrupt with each passing day. He was standing on the top of a fruit container and had a dogged eared bible in his hand.

He was basically shouting at everyone who walked passed, telling them that they were hellbound. I hate these zealots, taking a moral highground which doesn't exist against people they don't know from adam. I think there should be laws against this kind of thing. People should not have to listen to this kind of thing as they walk the streets, especially from a fat old man in a pair of black gloves!

Nice to know some things haven't changed.

Is that woman who dresses in black and carries a giant crucifix drapped in tricolour ribbons still doing the rounds? I miss her.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    Well.. it's true

What exactly do his gloves have to do with it?

The government should hire someone to follow him around with one of those clever [citation needed] signs.

Or maybe someone can bring him to a net cafe and show him this thread... that would be awesome.

    Based on what exactly?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Sure I do that too, except I see religion as the overarching problem.

OP you should have listened to your mother when she told you not to talk to strangers.

I think it adds variety. Nothing quite like a genuinely crazy ranting person to remind you that people aren't so normal as they like to pretend.

    WHICH TOWN?!![/Frada/Biko]

Oh, your location says Dublin. As you were

He was off Grafton street, a similar lad is seen up near the statue of Joyce. Kind of ironic choice of location in the latter case come to think of it.

    Who listens to nutjobs anyway?

Treat them like telemarketers. If you want to heed them, do it.

    Otherwise just keep moving.

Didn't think he was a yankey dankey doodle, possibly though, he was obnoxious enough to foist his religion upon me so I guess he would do the same with his qualifications.

Not all parts of Tallaght are full of nackers and scumbags you know. Sure Kilinarden and Jobstown are like the Old West but Old Bawn and Aylesbury are fine ! Don't just assume things

Aylesbury? Is that not where they had the four day bonfire at halloween? People kept it going by burning their rubbish and old clothes and the likes on it.

Really funny but afraid not . And things like bonfires happen in every part of every county . You'll always get scumbags everywhere , doesn't matter where you go.

I'm pretty sure it was. Considering I passed it every single one of those four days while on my way to Kiltipper.
