Starting out in golf and looking to get private lessons.

Anybody ever used Francis Howley in Carton? would you recommend him?

Also, could you recommend any alternatives in the Maynooth/Lucan/Leixlip?

    Thanks.

I think Howley is supposed to be top notch in Carton but I think that it's Manchip (spelling?) that is supposed to be the real guru out there.

Cheers Kace. Yeah, I heard that about Manchip, he's the GUI National Director or something along those lines. Would love to get him as a coach but the only problem is he charges €110 for an hour and doesnt do weekends!

Howley charges €55 for 30 min, €80 for an hour.

Want to stick to 30 min lessons so Howley my man I reckon.

Jim McBride in Lucan charges €35 for half an hour. Not had lessons with him but has been recommended to me. I personally have had lessons with Neil Manchip and found him to be fantastic.

David Mortimer in Carton is also an alternative. Not sure what he charges though

I was at a golf clinic at carton house recently, David Mortimer was the pro, found him very good, keeps things fairly simple - think he's €50 per half hour

Yep, Mortimer is good and explains things very well. All the names mentioned above will be a good fit for you.
