Frankfurt Airport connection

I'm looking at booking some flights going via Frankfurt Main and I'm wondering if 1 hour 35 mins is long enough to make a connecting flight.

One flight (Adria Airways from Ljubljana) arrives into the airport at 6.25pm and I wondering if I'd make an Aer Lingus flight to Dublin at 8pm. I'd have checked in online, so it would be a matter of collecting a bag and getting to the Aer Lingus gate in time. I've looked it up - Adria use Terminal 1A and Aer Lingus use 2A.

Can anyone who might know the airport advice if 1 hr 35 mins would be a feasible transfer time? The alternative is to arrive into Frankfurt at 1pm in the day and wait 7 hours but I'd prefer to spend as little time as possible in airports.

Otherwise, if anyone knows a better way of getting from Ljubljana to Dublin, any advice about that would also be appreciated.

    Thanks!

frankfurt deliver the bags very slowly every time i've been there (once a month), at one stage I'm sure I was waiting half an hour. After you get off the plane it's a bus to terminal, queue for ages for PP (sometimes lucky, sometimes not), wait for ages for bags. They do check you in very quickly though.
Connecting buses between terminals I'm not sure but I THINK they're often ish.
I usually land in terminal 2 though, maybe they're faster in t1 ;)
Security can also take a while, longer than dublin I find

Personally I'm not sure I would risk it maybe someone else will disagree.

edit: not that I bring bags every time, only once in a while, but it's been slow then

Seems a bit tight in my opinion!

Adria actually fly direct to Ljubljana from Dublin. It can be a bit pricey but is definitely the easiest option.

Do they? I can't find it on their website. When I put in Ljubljana to Dublin the only option available involves 2 stops and costs €815. They've probably closed that route :(

Edit:It's probably a bit out of the way, but I've found another way home... Fly to Barcelona. Not ideal, but I'll have 4 hours between flights and it's €50 cheaper than going through Frankfurt.

Adria operate a once weekly flight to DUB and yes its very expenive.

If your JP flight arrives into T1 ontime you wont have a problem. Bags off a CRJ wont take long to get into the hall, the transfer from T1 to T2 is via a skytrain, its very frequent and takes very little time. As I said if your first flight is on time you wont have any problems, if there is a delay you head into trouble. JP124 gets 2/5 stars for punctuality and the average delay is only 23 minutes.

Personally I think youll be fine.

If push comes to shoove leave your bags at FRA and get onto your EI flight. JP would forward your bag onto DUB within a day or so, just play innocent that you thought your bags were checked all the way to DUB. I work baggage service, this happens all he time.

can u get a bus to zadar, croatia and fly to dublin, cheap flights there or train to venice and fly ryanair from there

Yeah as Shamrock321 said above Adria only fly once weekly to Dublin, so you need to look through the dates until you find that non-stop flight :)

Another possibly cheaper way home is to fly EasyJet to London-Stansted, then get Ryanair to Dublin from there. Also easier than going all the way to Barcelona.

Yeah I looked into those options at first but the problem is the times, its actually quite difficult to get from Ljubljana to Venice by train, There's only one train daily and it goes overnight (ie arrives there at 3am or something). Zadar is pretty far away aswell - train takes 11 hours with some connections.

This was my preferred option but unfortunately the daily EasyJet flight arrives into STN @ 20.25, 15 mins after the last Ryanair leaves for Dublin. I really don't want the hassle of staying a night in London on my way home.

Anyway thanks to you all for all of your help, I went with the flight to Barcelona and then home to Dub. Total flying time is only 3.5 hours plus a few hours to kill in BCN so its not too bad, and at least I know I'll make the flight home. I am also a lot more well versed on the mechanics of getting from Slovenia to Dublin if I ever need a specialist subject on Mastermind!
