    Hi

Assuming you pay for your bag ( which is 15 euro each way ) then

Baggage fees apply for each checked bag as below. Additional excess fees apply for baggage over the maximum 20kgs (44lbs) in total checked baggage weight per passenger.

    So 20 Kg

You can also carry on 1 bag not weighing more than 10kg and cabin bag size - make sure all liquids etc go into the hold bag.

Effectively you can take 30kg per passenger if you work it right.

As you will be checking in the main bag staff will make you weigh the cabin bag and if it is over 10kg either transfer contents or pay for it - watch the weight there!

If you pay for a bag then it applies - 1 bag, max 20kg.

If you do not pay for a bag then pack very lightly!

You can still check in online (30 hours before departure) to make sure you get seats toghether and then take the bags to Aer Lingus desk when you get to airport - no need to pay the Aer Lingus charges to register a seat when purchasing your ticket.

I'm travelling to France for a trade show with a lot of heavy items and have booked the maximum baggage.

    2 X 20kg bags. Total 40kg

    1 X 10kg Cabin Bag

1 X Backpack (no weight restriction)

I'm struggling to get one of my bags under 20kg and have maximised my backpack usage to carry as much as possible to the show. Is it possible to pay for excess check-in luggage at or before arriving to the aerport? As I am at the max 40kg, am I even allowed to add more weight to my cases? I see that Aer Lingus charge an extra €10 per KG but I'm unsure if this applies when at the Maximum weight of 40kg between two check-in bags.

    Thanks.
