Irish film as far as I can make out, looks like it could be a laugh:

The tagline is great: "Time for a stiff drink"

And it has Linda Hamilton and Tommy "Tiny" Lister! :)

The trailer's a bit hit and miss for me. On the one hand it looks like there could be some good elements to the movie but the reliance on obvious and very old Viagra jokes (hardened criminals) is a bit kitsch. Also, a priest accidentally taking a viagra, wow, hilarious shenanigans must indeed ensue from that...

I'm not writing it off but the trailer makes me think that the movie will be so-so with some funny moments but not enough to rescue it from mediocrity.

    Hope I'm wrong though!

For being an Irish film not focused on inner city Dublin working class it automatically gets my seal of approval without having seen it!

    Waking Ned?
The wind that shakes the Barley?
    Michael Collins?

All Irish films not focusing on the working class in inner city Dublin...

If that's all your basing your 'approval' on then I'd suggest that you use a different forum to this one to display your prejudice to be frank.

I haven't watched the trailer yet, but that pretty much sums it up for me after I read the back cover of the DVD! I dunno, I'm honestly not sure how the writers could get 89 minutes of material out of the plot 'lads steal viagra, accidentally gets into water supply!'. Really? I'm not a fan of silly 'erection' (tee hee erection) jokes, but basing an entire film around it seems to me like it's best avoided.

And Linda Hamilton shows up for some reason - she needs to get back in contact with James Cameron me thinks.

Yeah, this one's made in Britain!
    Look at the reg plates.

Hmm, yeah, even the Green 'Poste' (An Post) van has English reg plates, there are Police cars instead of Garda cars, yet the entire population appears to be Irish...

Seems like a bad effort overall, on top of the other factors previously mentioned.

I wonder if it's actually any good though? Has anyone seen it?

    Seen it last night.
Was ok up to about 3/4 way through, few laughs, basically gombeenisms and the like.
Ending was an afterthought....... ruined it

Stolen from a CU Byrne episode.

Maybe it's based in a parallel universe where we're still ruled by the Brits? :pac:

I've seen this advertised around some shops alright but I don't have any intentions to see it, really.

Tbh, don't think there's any spoiler tags needed for something like this.

It's not like it would be ruining a classic alright, but just to be safe ;)

Ah the wonders of the internet, I watched it too, it's like a long episode of Father Ted with the amount of "feckin" in it, haha, pretty bad really.
