last night i went to change the Front wheel on the O/H`s 407 it has alloys with one of the infamous peugeot security keys. discovered the key is useless as edges are all wrung on the lug and so i cant it out and therefore wheel wont come off . bought the car private about 4 months ago so have not comeback to garage etc

anyone any advise how to get it out without costing me the earth at my friendly "peugeot" dealer ?

I have overcome this problem by tapping a socket on over the lock nut, it will twist off easy then with a rachet and long exstension bar.

I've seen some of the Peugeot lock nuts, they have like a disk in the center which can break off, leaving them impossible to get off with a brace/socket.An electric or air impact wrench will get them off, as you can hold it on.

Failing that weld on a nut and use a socket. Replace the lugs with non locking ones from the dealer/scrap yard..
