commercial road tax

    any help be much appericated. i want to change the motor tax from private to commercial on my toyota supra. i have followed all the steps i took out the rear seats and seat belts put a flat floor in with a cage. got it weighed 1640kgs got it doe d filled in all forms rf111 form and goods only declaration form. brought all paperwork to smithfield motor tax office including a letter to say i will be doing light deliveries for car paint company then it started. the supervisior said i have all paper work completed properly however refused to tax it even though there is 2/3 supras which are taxed commerical. he said they were taxed in limerick and cork which i taught was still in republic. not sure what to do he is breaking the law by doing this not sure what to do

    Tax it by post so they will have to reject you in writing and then give their reasons.

    If the reasons are spurious you have a right to appeal to his supervisor.

    they did write out to me saying they wern happy that the car/van wouldn be used privately,

    You could just go to another tax office and try there if smithfield is being a pain
