    Hi all

Does anyone know how to find the open market selling price for an old van? Or how to work this out for a converted camper? I don't think the new conversion is going to be over 3K. Any advice? Pm's if anyone has experience of weight issues.

    Thank you.

there isn';t a way of telling . The good folks in the VRT look at the van , cast some mystic stones into the fire , shuffle their tarot cards , and sacrifice you on the altar of overpaying , then they randomly decide on a figure .

    Least that's my experience...

Let the VRT guy’s look at it then they will come back with a high figure – have print outs of vans like yours which are for sale at a lower price and argue the point. That’s all you can do but make sure you argue it with them if the first guy doesn’t agree get them to check it with a co worker …… keep it up. If you go on a Friday after noon an kick up a stink when they are thing about going home they’ll be inclined to agree to give in. If at the end of that you can’t get a lower price. Pay it and lodge an appeal that day saying you tried to settle it with them but failed….

Make 100% sure it complies with all the rules.
