News, Upcoming Events

Monthly Deepstack
With the UKIPT Killaraney falling on the last weekend of June, we will be moving the June Deepstack one week forward to Saturday 19th June as alot of my staff (myself included) will be working in Killaraney.

I am also looking at moving this game into a Hotel starting in July. Numbers have dropped from a high of 78 to 44 last month with most players saying that the structure was just too good and didn't like the idea of coming back for a 2nd day.


World Cup of Poker - Heads Up Competition
On Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th July in Molloys Pub, Tallaght we will be running our 2nd Wolrd Cup of Poker Heads Up Competition. Just like the FIFA World Cup there will be 8 groups of either 4/5 players, everyone will play each other player in their group twice. You will win 3 points for a 2-0 win or 1 point for a 1-1 draw, with the top 2 players qualifying out of each group.

Play will continue in round 2 to the Final in Knockout format, with a 3rd game (extra time) to decide any 1-1 draws.

This will be a small buy-in tournament (at most €100) which will be self dealt until the later rounds of the competition.


Sean Jethi Memorial - Team Event
On Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th August in Molloys Pub, Tallaght we will be running our 3rd Sean Jethi Memorial Team Event. For those of you who never meet Sean, he was a fierce opponent at the felt but sadly left us at the tender age of 20.

Unlike any other team event NO TWO TEAM MEMBERS will ever play against each other at any stage during this tournament.

The tournament will be played as all single table tournaments (STT), there will be 4 groups of at most 10 teams, each team will have 5 players, however you can play with just 4 players (with one player playing 2 games at the same time.

Teams are awarded points based on who well each team member does in their respective STT. After all 1st round heats are finished the top 4 teams from each group will qualify to the semi finals. Play will continue as before with the top four teams from each group qualifying into the final.

Be sure to book early for this one as it's guaranteed to sell out. Buy-in will be circa €150 per player.

Not able to make it to the WSOP in Vegas? Well don't miss the next best thing. This November from Thursday 4th to Sunday 7th we will be holding our 2nd annual Mini WSOP festival. Last year we got an amazing 325 players for the €350 Main Event.

All tournaments at the Mini WSOP mirror the same structures and starting stack of the same events from WSOP in Vegas. The Main Event will also have a cool €50,000 Guaranteed .

Yes the Mini WSOP will be on again in the Maldron Hotel,

I am just sorting out the final details with the hotel to try and secure cheap rooms for players.

We have our €1500 Guaranteed Head's Up competition on tomorrow in Molloys Pub, Tallaght.

It's €60 freezeout.

The competition will have 8 groups. Everyone will play each other player in their group twice.

If you win 1 and lose 1 both players will get 1 point
If either player wins both games they will get 3 points

After all group games have been completed the top 2 players from each will qualify into the knockout stage which will be best of 3 games.

The final will be best of 5
