    From RP website;
Huge gamble under way on Wetherby Irish team

    By Racingpost.com staff 2:24PM 3 JUN 2010
A SIGNIFICANT gamble on five Irish raiders all trained by Michael O'Hare and ridden by Andrew Lynch is under way on Wetherby's race card on Thursday evening.
The gamble is reminiscent of the recent Barney Curley-inspired coup that left bookmakers reeling and £2 million out of pocket.
    The five runners are:
    6.00 (3) Sammy Pat, 3-1 (from 25)
    7.05 (5) Willie Martin, 4-1 (from 16)
    7.35 (11) Vincent Pipe, 9-4 (from 10)
    8.10 (1) Turner Brown, 9-4 (from 11)
    8.45 (11) Bale O'Shea, 2-1 (from 8)

I'd do it with Betfair multiples if you can, bookies' prices are ridiculous atm...

I'd steer well clear of that lot, PP have just gone SP only for all those races!

Did a 50cent ew lucky 31, and no prices available thou in any of his races.

PP must have pooped themselves, they havent had prices up for any of those races for the last 3 hours, they must have got burnt earlier and are waiting closer to the off to see whats what. Their liability must be pretty big if they wont show their hand at the moment.

This trainer pulled off 3 gambles last year in Naas I seem to remember. Whilst I can't see them all winning I reckon 2 of them will, which two though! All the value is gone now though, early morning prices would have made it worthwhile for the interest though. Place bets on betfair might be the way to go here. I'd say a lot of the market movement we have seen is people following the initial money.

I also did a 50c Lucky 31 on these at around 3pm. Will i still be paid if some of them come through even though there was no prices up when i put the bet on?

    You'll still be paid.
Interesting 1st race, the gamble ran like the 14/1 shot he was supposed to be, not too good at all.
More interesting is that the forecast fav (RP had him at evens) drifted to 7/2 but still won well.
Maybe this money will make other horses more value than they should be !

Still reckon one of his will win, but which is the question.........

True, they're drifting now though, with the first few getting beaten...

How did that go then :P

Poor show all things considered, much a do about nothing. Two of them were beaten a country mile and were last!

One winner at 9/2 hardly made the trip worthwhile. Bookies must be LOL, altho it flushed out the pansys this afternoon who closed the book on these races

lol at people suggesting there was loads of money for barneys horses all it takes is 1 euro lucky 15 and bookies will shut shop then others follow. couldn't believe the cowardry of bookies today, most giving sp only tullys quoting 1/500 on each of them shocking stuff. I wouldn't say barneys boys got **** all on. I will find out tomorrow if he did. you could still back all 5 of his horses at morning prices in bar one shops (which Barney o hare owns) half an hour after pp stopped taking bets.
