Not sure if it's been done on here but would anyone be interested in a before and after learning thread?
here's one I did quickly this morning. not great photo I know but no matter.
    beforeafter.jpg
    • For this first I duplicated my document.
    • On one I used colour balance first and upped the yellow till the background was how I wanted it.
    • Then I painted out the figure with a 30% opacity brush because I didn't want her so yellow.
    • I then put the duplicated document on top and erased the background with a soft brush, set the layer to soft light and to 50% opacity.
    • I used curves to bring some contrast
    • I softened her skin a little with a Coffee shop action and resized for web.
I would love to see other's before and after pictures and how they did it.

sorry, should have said: I used photoshop cs2

Good job you did on this Lynn. She looks a bit like she could be standing beside a pool.

There is actually a thread in the main forum that probably should be moved here. It comes alive every now & again. Here it is (Before & After thread).

I'll pm one of the mods and ask them to move it to this forum.

did you use the eraser? or did you paint her blue to counteract the yellow?

what is this action? downloadable from somewhere? thanks in advance

No because it's an adjustment layer I painted it with black which basically stops that particular area from being affected with the adjustment.
Yes the coffee shop actions are free and can be downloaded from here I used the powder room 2 one (it's in the retouching section)
