MBP video controller error

Display started acting up after I installed the Snow Leopard upgrade disc. Pixels seem to become distorted and the system froze. I used time machine to revert back to my previous OS but after a few moments the same thing happened with the display. After running a hardware/system test an error was found with the video controller 4vdc/1/40000003: VideoController.
Anyone know how serious an error this is and can recommend a place to get it repaired?
    Thanks

On the off chance anyone googles a similar error....
The video bus is faulty which means a new logic board for the princely sum of 1250Euro. Needless to say I won't be getting it repaired.

what model of macbook pro? are you sure it isn't a nvidia problem. if it's an aluminium 2.2,2.4 or 2.5ghz then it is most likely covered and repaired for free. so don't ditch that machine yet!

Its not the nvidia issue which apple repair for free however should the mbp develope that issue then apple will replace the logic board. So my only hope is to keep it running and hope it develops the nivida error.

Spoke with CompuB again this morning and asked them to double check that it wasn't the infamous navidia issue. Apparently they have a specific test to identify navidia cards which have the problem, the test produces an error code which is sent to Apple who in turn send out a replacement logic board. CompuB contacted Apple care who provided a different test to run which thankfully produced the error code resulting in me getting a free replacement logic board! So fair play to the guy in CompuB contacting Apple.
Now if I could only get my Mb air to stop sounding like a helicopter I'd be a very happy boy.
