Good to hear the positive comments re Sunny B. I know the beach is lovely but I haven't been there since we bought an apartment two years ago!

We were in Sunny Beach twice with the kids. Lovely beach and loads of cheap restaurants. Great Aquapark there too. Kids loved it. Bourgas airport is about 20 mins away.

It's there alright, thanks for the concern (but note those who critise/laigh at those who bought in Bulgaria - for some reason?)

Was rented last year and my mother stayed there for 2 weeks last September.

What are the restaurants in Sunny Beach like? I have heard mixed reviews over the years. Are there any sites with a list of them and some reviews. Tripadvisor had very few reviews and they are not very helpful.

I have read a few people complaining about a poor standard of food in Sunny Beach.

I was in Sunny Beach for the entire summer and neer had any problems with the food. I probably went to over a hundred different restaurants and 99% of the food was exceptional. All of it was very very cheap aswell. A few of the nicest ones were Djanny, Tropicana beach Restaurant (10euro for a 3 course meal and 3 rounds of drinks! very nice :) La Banana (my Gf's Best Friend owns it so I better Advertise it well! :D ah but it was goregous!. Then Condor Bistro was very very nice! Plus Amora cocktail bar for Breakfast! :)

Another thing which people forget about is the bakeries in Sunny Beach and Bulgaria. They really are something else! Fresh bakes everymorning. I was hooked on a pastry called Banitsa (pronounced Banitska). It is simply a pastry with Feta cheese in the centre, absolutely gorgeous and were on sale for anywhere between 40 cent and a euro depending on where u are in the resort, nonetheless very very cheap!

I stayed in Golden sands, and I thought it was much nicer than sunny beach where we spent a day.
