I can't remember the name of the place (think it has 'Vision' in the name somewhere), but there's an optician beside the Gaeity on South King Street, opposite the Stephen's Green centre. I got a great pair of prescription sunglasses in there that are actually proper sunglasses instead of just normal glasses frames with dark lenses. The brand is called Marco. It's the only place where I could find decent ones that looked like proper sunglasses and didn't come with an horrendous designer price tag! Hope you find a nice pair! And hope the sun lasts long enough for you to use them :D

I've just been in with Vision Express last week. Should be collecting my first pair of Oakleys (prescription) today!

I was a long time Specsavers customer, but really found their range to be poor at best.

Yeah, Marco are a brand in opticians that are made specifically for prescription lenses - see www.marcoeyewear.com. Think they're Irish-made too :D
I have a pair and they're grand, nothing spectacular but they do the job. Before that I had prescription lenses put into a decent pair of normal sunglasses and the frames warped because of my oddball prescription :p So unless your eyesight really isn't too bad at all these will probably be your best bet.
