...including an SE2200a. It better be amazing or you guys are in trouble! ZV_Yoda has talked me through the seting up of an SE reflexion filter (fair play man) and I also got a cheap Thomann ribbon (which looks real purty).

Hmmm what else...another Sennheiser for my drum kit (I forget the model, the one that clips on the snare/tom)...oh and finally an SM57, took me a while to get around getting one of those. Also an M-Audio Midi controller (now all I need are some frickin VSTis, more about this later) and a Samson 1/2 rack headphone amp which feels surprisingly solid for the money.

Also got a bunch of strings, a new kick resonant head with the hole pre-cut in it this time (no more empty tuna cans heated on the cooker). And a bunch of mic stands and cables.

This is the biggest amount of money I've spent on recording stuff at once. I know it's all entry-level kit but I'm really excited about it, havn't felt so optimistic about recording in ages.

Enjoy... I like the SE stuff... I got the SE2200 bundled with the Reflexion Filter at the start of the year & I'm really happy with both. As for the SM57 - great mic....how'd you get so far into home recording without one?

I own the SE2200a and the Sennheiser e604 clip on mics. I think they are the ones you got.

    Great stuff all together :D:D:D:D

That ribbon's the same as the apex 205..it's unbelievable on a guitar cab, or the right voice..

You wish Brew-dawg! I've just spent the last 20 minutes fastening my Reflexion filter to a mic stand with carpet tape, and before that, I was cutting up guitar cables to route my sound card's secondary stereo bus to my heaphone amp...fun!

There will come a day when I'll have a Mac, Kontakt 6 and some room treatment. I may also learn how to set up fx sends via Cubase SE3. Until that day however, I will always be lo-fi Paul, last bastion of the acoustically inept. Rally to me my brothers!

Dunno if you're ever near my neck of the woods (Nth Kildare) but I can show you do the "Sound on Sound" set up if you are.

Very very decent of you mate, the offer is muchly appreciated. I should have been clearer though - I actually ordered the Project Studio Reflexion filter as opposed to the SE2200 bundle and it's slightly different to the more expensive model in that you can't double back the clamp on itself. That said, the boom part doesn't seem to be quite as long as in the case of the more expensive version, and I'm happy to sacrifice an old mic stand for a permanent feature - I've aligned the boom with a leg of the mic stand and with some extra support via carpet tape, things are looking good.
