At a glance it seems to be a smaller version of the Desire.

First of seen of this. Looks like a mini-Desire alright, both inside and out (the specs, processor etc., look to be about half of what Desire offers).

Seems they're aiming it at the younger audience (see Silicon Republic article). Could do well there as a cheaper alternative to Desire.

Web-developer hat on... I love that a quality mobile browsing experience is making it's way onto affordable devices like this. It's not for me but still, more of this sort of thing plz.

i'm seriously considering getting one of these however the reduced screen res would be at me, would it make that huge a difference? i'm also looking at the HTC Diamond touch 2 but thats a windows OS as opposed to android...

I wonder what price it will come in at...

It's a really odd phone if you ask me. It has the internal specs of the Legend (And the capacitive buttons) but the looks of the Desire. It also has a lower res screen than the Legend.

I'd imagine this will go below the Legend in their product listings because jt's pretty much the exact same as the Legend barr the aluminium unibody case and the screen.

As far as I know it is more a replacement for the tattoo and will be aimed at that same price point.

OP I would still be inclined to look at the other thread I linked to which had O2 selling the desire for 350 without trade in that maybe sim free, as this will give you a much better phone

Their marketing the Wildfire towards the budget-minded consumer, I've heard it will be £200 Sim-free. T-Mobile are selling it in Mid-June but it's not officially released until July.

Only a 528Mhz Processor and 240x320 screen but still a very decent budget Android Phone.

I think it looks pretty cool. Specs are decent too.

Great phone for people who aren't too pushed about having the fastest CPU and biggest screen. You know; girls.
